300g tank and full set-up cheap.

Wheel of Time

New member
Hey Guys: for those familiar with my set-up Its been ages since Ive been involved with our club -- After the last major tank crash after the power outage -- it really took my enjoyment out of the hobby seeing all my big colonies killed. I have decided to fully get out of the hobby now (and also am going to be moving) Want to help someone with a nice set-up cheap.

Ill make it very reasonable and cheap: lets say $500 for the 300g tank, 4 400W MH lights the iwaki pumps, filtration, skimmer etc. Take it all. But I will not part out. Also live rock, sand, snails, etc.

Have given away most corals -- tho still have some zoos, a very large green anemone, maybe 6 clowns, several different blennies etc.

It's a lot of equipment that Im giving away: you can part out and sell it on your own or give away.... Canopy for the tank is nice, tho Id build or get a new stand rather than re-use the current one (your choice).

One Caveat: get a truck and take most of it. Im not home much and dont want to do this over multiple days / trips etc. My preference is this goes to club members if they want it before I open to broader community.

Sorry to see you go Seth! This was truly a tank to behold. Sad day for ARKSC. Good luck with the sale.

Seth! It pains me to see you leave. I hope all is well, and moving is a GOOD thing for you and your delightful family. :)

You have been SO instrumental to RC. You've held THREE summer cookouts at your place, had a tank that people LOVED to see, and were a director. But what people don't know, and the only remaining active member that can recall this is me... you were instrumental in the start up of this club!

Jeff (Tank o Tang) kicked things off by holding the first meeting years ago. I'm missed that one, but he held the second one in the Derby (?) library, where I met you on the way in from the parking lot. You've been instrumental ever since. I recall our early pre-organization meetings, several with just you, me and Jeff, where we discussed what we wanted out of a club. And later, you were on the Pro-Tem organization committee that spent so many late night hours knocking out our By-Laws, finally culminating in signing our incorporation documents.

You have been an club member without peer. And you will be missed my friend. :)

Good luck. Be happy. And don't be a stranger. You've got my email address, and will always be happy to hear from you!

"Happy trails to you... until we meet again. Happy trails... "

Truly sad to see you go, Seth! Can't say things better than Steve. If you're moving somewhere else in the area, don't be a stranger. I suspect you'll be back in the hobby someday though - once a reefer, always a reefer. Best of luck to you and the family and wishing you a smooth move!!

Do you have any pictures of the tank? My dream tank is a 300... and that's a great price.

If you were anywhere near atlanta, I would be ALL over that! That is such a fantastic price for a setup. Good luck with the sale. If you feel like driving a little bit, Ill take it!

thanks for all the kind words guys. Been a great hobby but one power outage to many killing all the mature colonies just sapped my will to start over. At that price depiste being used -- its an awesome deal as Im including ALL of my equipment (since Im moving to West Coast) The included Teco chiller alone is worth the price to be honest--- the tank is 8ft by 2 ft-- all the pumps, power heads, sumps, 5 stage ro/di, booster pump, protein skimmer, lights etc.... Scolly (thanks for the nice words -- the new job Im accepting forcing the move is pretty exciting!!!) All the best ARK club members!!!

Thanks fro all of the interest. It was a great deal to get a whole set-up chiller, pumps, power heads, lighting, dosing equip, ro di etc...all my stuff basically.

Sorry to several people who contacted me but could not arrange pickup by this weekend...my wife gave me a deadline for Sunday night -- So I had to go with parties who could come this weekend to take everything.

All the best to everyone in the club. Ill be heading to Seattle shortly. Hopefully our paths will cross again when I come back to CT for visits.

Oh man, that's a bummer! Good luck Seth. Glad you'll have more time with your family now. I know what a killer it was the last ... year?.

All the best!
