30g cube to a 40g breeder?

Iââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢ve been entertaining some thought of changing my 30g cube to a 40g breeder. It would give me 16ââ"šÂ¬Ã‚x18ââ"šÂ¬Ã‚ more floor space, but would reduce the height 4ââ"šÂ¬Ã‚.

Here is a picture of the current tank.

As you can see, itââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s a little crowded in there. The 40g breeder would give me more floor space to work with.

The current 30g setup is running a Hamilton 150w de halide system (20k bulb), cpr aqua fuge w/ minijet 606, maxijet 900, maxijet 400, and a ebo jagger 75w heater. I have 40lb of live rock in the system. For livestock, I have 2 clarkii clowns, a yellow watchman goby, 2 cleaner shrimps, a clam, and an assortment of snails. My corals are mostly softies and LPS with one monti cap.

The 40g setup would run pretty much the same equipment with the exception of adding one or 2 more maxijet 900s and changing the ebo jagger 75w to a 100w. I would use new sand and add some more live rock (not that much more though so I can have the open look).

I like the simpleness of my tank so I wont be going with a sump. I was also wondering if instead of the 150w halide, should I run a 192w pc setup so that it covers all of my tank. The only thing I am worried about is the clam. Right now, itââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s small enough to feed on DTââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s phyto but I donââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢t know when it gets bigger.

I welcome any comments or suggestions of whether I should change or not. Thanks in advanced.

naw... it wouldnt increase the floor space as much as a 40 breeder. 60 cube would be only 24"x24".

Also, I cant get a tank bigger than a 40 breeder because i'm limited to a 36" long.
