I just noticed my 30k Lokani is slowly turning white from the body instead of from the base or tips.
This is strange as one of my other SPS corals is recovering from necrosis so I assumed my tank was doing ok.
I will do a water test by the end of today. Other than that, looking at my coral placement|water flow|etc is there anything you guys can see I need to modify?
Tank specs:
34g Solana
I have a AI Sol Blue 100% white 80% blue 70% royal settings. I just turned it up this past week. It took me at least a month to ramp up from 50% white.
I also added a par38 spot light that I've been running for 2 weeks.
Water movement is via a Koralia and Vortech mp10. I just added the Vortech a few days ago.
I also started running Chemi-Pure Elite a few days ago.
My cheato is very small and I am running a Remora skimmer with mj1200.
In comparison I just want to post a pic of how my other corals are doing. This guy seems happy.
I'm thinking it might not be water quality, but perhaps placement of the pumps, the coral itself or lighting since all my other coral are doing well.
