I've had for several years and it is still working reliably but lately it has been extremely loud. So loud it will wake everyone in the house up when it goes off at night. It's not air bubbles as I've tilted it. It's like a loud heavy metal guitar sound. In fact the first time I heard it I thought it was my kid playing guitar in the middle of the night. Is it time to replace the pump?

Most likely, generally the pumps last 2-3 years, if it is at least that old and it is not the pump vibrating against a hard surface, replacement should solve the problem.

Thanks. I just ordered one. Yea it’s probably at least 10 years old.
