Hi,
My osmolator has started behaving randomly after a little more than a year of working fine. Two days ago, I had 2 instances of it turning on but not off until the high water level switch was tripped. This takes about 4-5 gallons of water being added (I have a 150 gallon rubbermaid sump, with an overflow into the return area where the switches are located). Normally when the optical switch is tripped, it turns off after about 25-30 seconds. Reservoir is about 3 feet below the sump. Tried cleaning the optical sensor with both warm soapy water and vinegar, it worked for a day but now it won't turn on at all. The lights on the main unit indicate that the water level is good, even when I have the sensor right out in the air. Tried cleaning again, no help. There are critters growing in the area, I have sponges and tube worms growing on the magnet, but nothing on the sensors that I can see. I saw no bubbles on the sensor, and have looked at it with a magnifying glass, no evidence I can see of crud or deposits remaining, it looks spotless. Tried unplugging and replugging twice in case it just needed a reset, no joy.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Brian
