3155 osmolator during power failure

Hi, what are my options if there is a power failure. I had 4 power surges today and it added about a gallon of fresh water to my tank because of the test mode. Please advise if there is a way to program this to stop or do I need to add a apex controller to make sure power does not come on to the unit.
Please advise because I can't see spending 400 dollars on a controller I don't need.

There isn't a way to turn off the test mode as far as I know. You can always turn down the potentiometer inside the unit so the test mode doesn't put in that much extra water.

Yes, thank you, read it in the manual. Helps a little, also lowered the secondary float and shut of the sound with the toggle adjustment. :fish1
