considering a very similar tank from miracles or AGE ... (74x36x24, starphire peninsula) ... tagging along!
Miracles aquarium are great. :o

considering miracles too... i'm not sure i understand why the PVC bottom on the AGE's is superior... maybe Terry or one of the other AGE fan-boys can explain... ;-)

Tony, how many times do you need to ask? ;) The advantage is just safety, whether you think that's an important feature is up to you.

PVC will not crack! Glass can. I understand that you won't be using a CL, but I don't want to worry about a glass bottom in a BB tank if my rock tumbles over.

If you are able to secure your rock so that it doesn't tumble over, then you should be fine with a glass bottom.

For me, I want to minimize any sources of leak in a tank, that's why I'm willing to pay the premium. Is it necessary? I'd say personal preference. For me, it is. I don't want to hear it from my wife should the tank ever leak.

thanks for everyone tagging along. I do like those pvc bottom tanks too, hopefully should be filled and running next week

She's a fan of the camera, I see. Very cute, and the tank's looking good so far. What pump do you have planned for that Wavy Seas, will that be your return?

Thanks for the compliment, she really is a fan of the camera. They will be on a close loop with a dart pump

I'm looking for advice on where to buy some sliding racks for my lights so i can slide them out from either side, front or back

Very nice, I like the peninsula style with everything in the next room.

Whats the chamber behind the fuge for?

I love wide peninsula tanks. It looks like its coming together pretty well, cant wait to see it in a few months.

thanks, everything is actually in the basement. the chamber behind the fuge is the begin of the baffle area
