370G Tank Preview

WOW. Your set-up is exactly what I would love to have someday in my own home. Sort of a room divider, a view from the outside, the kitchen, looks like the living room, something you see when you come through the door.......Very nice.

Thanks, the tanks can be seen by almost every room in the first floor of the house...

I really can't wait until it's finally complete and stocked.

I hear ya'!:D

My tank is almost there as well and seeing your's, makes me want to go big again but I think I'll finally settle with my 170g.
How I wished those reef ceramic rock was available when I bought my rock. Maybe I can still squeeze a pillar rock in mine somehow.:)

Anyhow, keep up the good work! Your tank is looking fabulous!

Hi Steve,

Still have a few last touches to finish up on the cabinetry and I'll post the completed pics. I've just started to add acro's - all frags and will most likely start adding more fishes in the next few months.

I'm really still recovering from the cost of building the thing...

You mentioned that the white board was siliconed in place, just wondering if they also ran a bead around the base. Just wondering how to do it if I add a white board to the bottom of my tank. I love what you have done with the aquascape.

Marcus,

Yes the did run a bead of chalking around the edge, but it didn't work to hold it down and little pieces broke off and floated around the tank. The live rock holds the board down fine and chalking isn't needed in my opinion.

Thanks,

Art

Do you have any inverts in the tank with the triggers? I love these triggers and am thinking of a pair for my soon to be 240. I am just afraid they will eat everything in sight.

I have snails in there and the triggers ignore them completely. They only seem to be interested in things in the water column.

Finally, an update

Finally, an update

Hi all,

It's been sometime since I've updated this thread. I've found a few spare moments to snap some pics of the cabinetry. Greg did an excellent job on this - I really can't say how happy I am with how this turned out.

You'll see from the pics that I have alot of stocking left to do - my plans are to use mostly frags. Right now it looks pretty sparse. I have 4 fish - 1 Foxface, 2 Crosshatched triggers and a beautiful male Naso Tang (my favorite fish).

Enjoy the pics:
