Getting there...

Finally had the tank turned around yesterday so now it's facing the right way.

Waiting for custom sump to ship and arrive so I can plumb everything in before building the structure around it.

Sump and 15G auto top off came in today. Excellent, build quality. Will write a little review later on with better pics. Now I just need to plumb everything so I can put some water in this monster.

Awesome huge chamber for protein skimmer and possible phosphate or other reactor.

Ordering a bunch stuff today from marine depot
Got to see about finding some coupons

Just placed a painfully big order from MD, I expect everything will arrive within the week. Only thing left is pvc, which I'm waiting to hear pricing from a few folks since I want colors. I see BRS sells it but at almost double what I've seen it elsewhere. So we'll see, if the price for color is substantial than I'll just got with furniture grade white from formufit through Home Depot or direct.

Those first few "four digit" orders for the peripherals can really sneak up on you.
Mmmmmm ramen noodles for a few weeks....

I had my eye on a 67 Impala restomod or 69-72 Chevelle but didn't want to spend that much...haha
After I rally this up I'm going to find out I prob could of done the impala and the some.

So I just got a call from marine depot asking me to verify some info by sending them a copy of my license and cc - guess it's a pretty large order - haha

Trust me MD, I'm feeling the pain!

This project is way over budget and then some.

Going to pick up dry rocks from Tampa Bay Saltwater tomorrow - read lots of good stuff about Rich's rocks so I can't wait!

Then going to pick up colored pvc since the price difference between white and color is not that much going to go with color.

Picked up 350# from Rich today, who welcomed us to his home before we departed onto the next place, to pick up the pvc. What a great guy, I highly recommend Rich. Great experience, great guy and amazing porous rock.

Picked up a 275g tote today that had shampoo for cheap so cleaning it out with some pool chlorine. Should be nice and clean of any leftover soap residue once it dries.

Removing some of the phosphate off the rocks before putting them in the tank, hopefully some time next week if time permits.

All the goodies came in today.

Just missing some odds and ends and a couple of things that got lost in transit.

The skimmer is much bigger in person :)

I guess I now have to see when I can schedule a day to start piping all of this, that part I'm actually not looking forward to.

Overflow setup is done.

Now need to think how I'm going to run the return and closed loop.

And need to measure twice and cut one on the sump as I will be running these as external pumps.

Another Home Depot run in the am :(

Closed loop and return pump are in. And drains are also plumbed so only thing left to plunk is reactor, returns and closed loop.

Damn it - this is taking too long.
