Sadly, I found the chalk basslet anchovied on the floor sunday morning. Very strange, he's been in that tank for almost 4 yrs.
On the plus side, I can plan the stocking for the 37 from scratch.
So many little things to finish. All the staining and varnishing is done, the hood is completely finished unless I add another fan.
On to plumbing: As you may recall, the return pump is a mag 9.5, which will run thru an OM squirt 4 way. The tank has 2 holes drilled for drain to sump. Sump is a 10 gallon. Recirc skimmer will be outside the sump. I'd like to squeeze a small refugium beside or above the main sump.
I need to decide to feed the skimmer with gravity flow from part of a drain line, or T off the main feed pump.
I'm a little concerned that the rotating OM will result in changing backpressure on the pump, and therefore surging in the flow to the skimmer if I T off the Mag.
I've done gravity feed before, its pretty consistent, but not a lot of pressure, there's a chance the gravity might not be enough flow thru the skimmer...
