3g setup help

Im planning to do a little 3g setup with a small mantis and hopefully some zoas, my question is, are mantis and zoas compatible? also what type of mantis would sit well in a 12x9x8 tank?(preferably a smasher...)

my advice is to do at least 5gal. At three gallons your mantis options are very limited and all of them are hard to find when you want one.

For a 5gal you could house a G. smithii or an N. wennerae which are very good species and are more on the common side (wennerae more common by far).

are mantids safe with zoos? yes. just make sure all your frags are stuck onto pieces of LR that the mantis can't move.

Mantis do not eat Zoas, whatever you do is fine.
wennerae is a great choice.
