3X MP10ESW placement

I have a 48 x 24 x 20 coming in soon enough and would like to recycle my 3x mp-10's from my current tank.

I'm not sure how to configure the pumps.. Would it be best to put the 2 slave pumps on the same side? I'm assuming the master should be by itself on one side to get the wave effect correct. Am i right?

First issue I see possibly is what is the tank thickness? I had a MP10 on my 125g and couldn't turn it up past half way or it would vibrate the dry side off, nothing a little duct tape wouldn't fix but who wants duct tape on their 300$ pump?

.5" glass. Which is the thickness of my current tank. I hope its not going to be an issue. I've got them up to about 60% on my current tank without an issue. but I didn't think about blasting these mp-10's off the glass literally.

I've seen on youtube and in a couple different places that MP-10's will work with 1/2" glass. I know its not recommended by Ecotech but I'm going to give it shot before I go selling these off. Thanks for the offers but I wont be selling anytime soon.

Like I said before on my 125g the issue was the dry side vibrating off and hitting the ground. It's only a matter of time before the next time it will hit the ground and break the dry side motor. Good luck with whatever you end up doing. I would hate to see you break your pumps because the keep hitting the floor

The zip ties and mounts only work well with the original sticky on them which is great unless you want to move your pump. I would upgrade from the MP10s but then again I'm someone who won't buy a MP unless its a 60. Good luck I hope whatever you do works out for you

Ill try and remember to keep you posted on how it works. The tank is still on order at this point! Dmonty may end up saying 'i told you so' after all!

Honestly I hope it works out the way you have it planned, especially since you already have the MP10s. I like to have so much flow in my tank that I have to turn something down or off if need be

Damn this thread. I will be upgrading tanks and my new 53 has 1/2" glass. Was hoping to buy another MP10 for this build. So, no 2 MP10'S? Am I having to buy a 40 instead? Sorry, usually don't hijack posts.
