hey bc, i can show you exactly what color your setup would look like. I just need to change out 1 of the middle bulbs to a Blue+ for you. that way you know what youll be getting. i have an extra blue+ bulb

Jaymie......Thanks dude...you said you didn't have the retrofit....you have the fixture did you mount it in the canopy.?
I would love to come by and see your tank and lights...but you live a little bit out of my way.......maybe one Tuesday before or after the meeting we could hook up....Thanks for the help with the lights...now all I have to do is place the order....BTW the link you gave me where you bought your lights....they emailed me back with a price for what I was looking for.....and reefgeek is still cheaper...but thanks anyway

ya, no i dont have the retrofit, but i dont think it will look much different,except the icecap will make it brighter. i blieve it overdrives the bulbs to about 80 watts.


i didnt mount it in the canopy, but it could be pretty easy. my dad bulilt my canopy so he made 2 shelves inside for the light to sit on.

before the meeting 1 tuesday would be fine with me, i mentioned the stores just incase your in the area.

reefgeek is a good place to get your lights, there a sponsor on this site, and they will definately take care of you. alot of good words from them.

anyhow ttyl good luck on your purchase, now if your corals are doing bad, you cant blame it on the lights

acclimate them slowly though, with screen. I put a beatiful brain at the very bottom of my tank without screens, and in 2 hours it totally bleached. I was sooo upset. but it finally is back to its original colors.
