40 Breeder Peninsula Build

First of all AWESOME build i have been tinkering with the same setup for a year or so now and after lurking in here I've decided to steal some of your Ideas, mostly the reefKeeper mount and overflow box. I do have a question what is the advantage to the bean overflow? i have used the gla$$hole$ overflows for years and haven't had any problems and it just seems much simpler. the only other bit of input would be build a hood, I have used the pipe light bracket on tanks before but they always end up looking like doodo after all the work you put into the furniture it seems a shame not to cap it off.

Congrats on a great build so far. Although many others have said this...just wanna make sure you understand....the way you mounted your controller is BAD -**BUTT**!! lol. To me, it makes it seem almost like the stand is a piece of the equipment, not just a piece of furnitire to hold all the equipment. Great great job. Whether you did the wood working or not, this is definitely a build to be proud of......And ill probably be stealing that idea for mounting the controller on the 125g im working on now! Keep us updated, i wanna see some water in this bad boy!

Wow,omg! You have hit a homerun with your build I especially love the trim work it looks really professional. I want to thank you for some of the ideas you have given me I hope you don't mind me useing them to build my setup. Keep building and posting I look fwd2 seeing more thanx agin

sorry for the delay.

if custom isnt your thing gl*******s is the way to go, wish i went that way.

im thinking i will like the pipe to hold the led. if it looks crappy i will put a top. i just like the openess of this way

thanks again guys for all the words. they are truly my inspiration.

well it's settled I'm copying your build! a few changes will have to be made but It'll be pretty close to the same thing. I'm thinking about a 75 gallon display with a 40b sump, also I'm in granite country so I'm thinking of doing a granite table top. Any chance I can get some more detailed pictures of the stand build? Any tips or advise things you'd have done different? any help you can throw my way is greatly appreciated.

LOVE your overflow! I did mine VERY similarly, but taking the returns through the box took it one step further. I went up and over for the returns.
