40 Breeder update

Here are some pics of my 40 breeder from a little while after the beginning to now

It seems to be coming along nicely now. Only a few more things to add to the tank.... yea like I could ever be finished getting new things.

Awesome! I've got a 40 breeder too. Which T5 bulbs are you using?

Very nice tank. Question: What makes a breeder tank a breeder tank?

They are built wide and front to back deep. And they are shallower than a regular tank. So it has a lot of surface area and is not real deep, compared to a regular tank. A 30 breeder is only 11 inches tall but 36 long by 18 or so deep(front to back). A 40 is the same footprint but deeper, I think 18 tall. Fish farms around here use the 30 breeders a lot, and drill the bottom and use an overflow.

I really like the 40 breeders......not too big and still have a bit of depth for its size. I have some pics of mine in my gallery .

thanks for the compliments. Hopefully I can get a RTBA for these two before the end of the year

UVL Super actinic 420nm
Back

All with icecap SLR reflectors, running off of 2 Workhorse 5 ballasts
