40 Gallon Breeder

I am setting up a new 40 gallon breeder, I have decided weather to have it drilled or not. My question is I want to an a nano wavebox and wanted to know what size pump i should use with it to control them both at the same time.

I have seen some people with a nano wavebox and a contrable tunze stream in the same tank working together, is that possible?

I actually also got offered the rocks that cover the pumps for 20 bucks from someone who had them curing with rock.

Let me know and thanks in advance

Hello Reefvette, you can add couple tunze nano stream 6055 to run with the wavebox depent on what you are planning to keep. As for controlling the stream and the wavebox it has to be in separate controller. The Nano wavebox using 6091 wave controller and the stream require 7091 single controller or 7095 multi controller. You cannot run another stream pump together with the nano wavebox on the same controller. Because the stream will not serve it purpose with such fast pulsing.

What size Tunze controllable would you recommend.

So i will need to purchase the wave box along with a tunze pump and a controller for it.

Does the wavebox have a fuction for a photo cell?

I would most likely go with a 6055 as Steve mentioned along with a 7091 controller. If you were going to do a SPS dominant tank and depending on if you end up with a return pump and sump below, I would likely end up with a second 6055 in the future if it were mine. Yes the Nano Wavebox includes the photocell.

Thanks for the answer

Thanks for the answer

Im gonna look up the 6055 now and see prices and stuff.

With the photocell the wavebox goes off at night correct and the 6055 will still run to provide night time flow?

Im not familair with tunze stuff right now i have the controllable koralias and love them. But my tanks contact high flow hosting anemones so the wave make will be my best bet i beleive.

Yes the 6055 would still run, you can get a photocell for the 7091 which would turn down the pump too if you liked, or the 7095 controller it is included.
