how is that water tightin the back,sides and corners? is it like a rubber membrane?

The tank is sealed with Iron clad. A two part epoxy thats used to seal potable water tanks.

I'll have to stop by and check it out next time I find myself up that way. I've seen a few plywood tank builds on here, but never have seen one in person.

What are the dimensions on it?

Yeah stop in anytime T.J. I'm going to finish off hte front side of the basement and put it in wall. The tanks 96x31x31, the glass is 24x90.

The plan is to keep the look of the current rock scape in my 140, and drop it in at like the left 1/3rd of the tank. I'll add maby another 100 lbs of rock to make a small island on the right.
My main focus is going to be on swimming room though. There are a few fish that had a lot to do with getting into his hobby, and with a tank like this i can finely keep them with out worry of them being cramped, or stressed.

LOL sorry ben, If I would have found somthing a bit smaller for the price I would have gone that route. Just couldn't pass this deal up. Besides I want one of those eels you call gobys LOL.

It turned out to be a good thing it was plywood. We ended up having to take the back off to get it down the stairs.

hes lucky hes got good friends to carry that big bastard down the steps. and into the house three times. had to keep taking it back out to take more stuff off to get it down the steps. nice tank though its freaking huge im 6'8" 360 pounds and i can lay in it. cant wait to go scuba diving in it lol

almost the same size as mine, I got lucky Chuck has a super strong friend, he basically carried it down my basement stairs by himself. All the weight was on him chuck just held the top end from hitting the walls.
