4000 Watt Champion Generator $149.00 after $150.00 rebate at Kragen Auto Parts

I just bought one. Thanks for the heads up cthetoy. Anyone know a good electrician or how to hook this up to the main house power?

Thanks,
Mel

orangereefer... I beleive any electrician can do that, but they have to change out the entire electrical box to one that allows the connection. Last I checked it's about $1K to do something like that.

Thanks. Maybe someday when cash is more readilly available, I'll get it done. For now Plug and Play.

I just picked up mine but the staff said I can't apply 15% off (closeout code) and get another $150 rebate.

$299 (online price) + tax
- $150 (Mail-in Rebate)

that's the best I can get,
is my experience the same as your purchasing?

I paid online and the 15% was taken from the total. Im guessing after I pick up, I mail in the rebate cupon along with the UPC to redeem the $150 rebate...

This is how mine has worked so far. I purchased online for instore pickup with the "closeout" code for the 15% off. I went to the store to pick up, and they provided me a form for the $50 rebate and a Rebate Authorization receipt. The receipt shows that the item was $349 - which I did not pay (I paid 299 - 15% plus tax). I told they guy there was a $150 rebate also, which he knew nothing about. That was it... I will be sending my $150 rebate in today.

That's what I was trying to do, but the girl in Kragen/Arcadia explained me, we can't apply 2 discount/rebate at the same time, but they can give online price $299 to get $150 rebate.

I like to make sure if she made the true statement.
anyone get 15% + $150 rebate too?

I just call Parts America & they said if I fill out the coupon & mail it along w/ the UPC code then there will be no problem to get get my $150.00 mail in rebate cus I think the 15% discount is from the Part America & the $150.00 is from manufacture so will see .

+1

299.00
-44.85 (15%)
20.97 (darn 8.25%!)
275.12 out the door
-150 rebate
125.12 net price

Don't forget to get the rebate authorization receipt, I had to go back to get it since the guy at the parts counter just gave me an invoice for my purchase.
My rebate receipt also has a price of $349 also. I don't think it matters for the manufacturer's rebate since there is no stipulation on the rebate of what your purchase price should be.

just got back from picking mine up. I specifically asked for the Rebate Auth. Receipt and the chick told me she couldn't print it out since I ordered online.

for those that got it, did the cashier have to do anything special? Help me, help her.

When I went back to get mine, the manager punched in my original transaction number off my invoice and was able to spit out a Rebate receipt from the cash register.

Can you fire it up and let us know if you can hear yourself think?

shoot, for $125 i don't care if it's loud. It's backup power. Unless it's purposed for continuous use it's a non issue in my book.
