40g Breeder Stand & Canopy :)

Hi, I'm needing guidance on a 40g breeder stand and canopy. I'm nowhere near a pro at woodwork, but I just recently bought a 40g breeder for a reef tank I'm going to be putting together.

I just don't know where to start, or what I need to know about before I start the build. Should I have my tank drilled for a sump? Or not?

Also links of DIY 40g stand and caopy builds would be great to broaden my perception.

All help is appreciated, and as much help that you can offer. My dad is a handyman, so I'm sure he'll help me with this little project of mine. Thanks!

Having an undrilled 40 breeder with a HOB overflow, I'd recommend you drilling it and setting up a near foolproof system like the bean animal. If you search this section, there is a super lengthy DIY stand thread by rocketengineer. Very easy to follow plan and the end result is very sturdy and can be skinned to your liking with cabinetry.
