hello fellow reefer!!
im in the process of starting a full blown sps. I have few experiences with couple of acros. in my 56g but on the smaller scale. so i have the 40b up and running atm with few acros and montis. i do have a sump but in process of making a dedicated sump for this 40b it running on algae tuff scrubber which need to improvise im not getting that thick algae that i wanted. i have diy led as the lighting will add t5 later and for the flow i have vortech mp10 and i love it. what im asking is what other things or equipment that are essential to have in order to have good success with sps dom tank? Oh yes i have a pair of maroon clown fish and red sea salfin tang im not planning on adding any more fish down the road. and now ill stop writing i know you tired of reading this lol so here the pics. ps. yes i notice the shadow it being block by the bar that is holding up the led. it just a prototype till i finish the fixture and the t5. thanks and i pardon for my poor english :hmm2:

Your aquascaping looks nice well done. How many T5's are you going to add, 4 would be a good number i think if you want to have unlimited choice in coral placement. I would suggest adding another MP10 down the track as you basically can't have too much flow if you are going to have a full blown SPS tank.
Looking forward to more updates my friend - and SPS pics in the future :)

Welcome to the 40 breeder family. I have a 40 breeder and at first had a difficult time keeping sps. I was running bare bottom. My tank lacked nutrients and my corals suffered. I added more live rock got about 90lbs between the display and refug added a sand bed and have been feeding 2-3 times a day. My tank has exploded with growth. Don't worry about the newest product on the market keep it simple. I would add more rock looks like theres only 15lbs in your tank.!Sorry not much to say on the lights I run just a 250w halide, nothing else.

Looks like it has awesome potential!

I have a 40 breeder as well, but I have mine attached to a 20 gallon sump (and making a 100 gallon sump for the coming months).

I've been looking for an upgrade to my Koralia, and was looking specifically at the VorTech pumps. What do you like about it?

Your english is easy to read and understand! What's your native language? :)
