40g SPS

To lower your phosphate a bit more cut back on food, Xtra, and AA. I'd actually just stop them for a week. Out of all of those additives, AA actually contains phosphates in small amounts. Dose 4 drops of Biomate daily for a week and test again. If it lowers your phosphates then continue dosing 4 drops of BM for 2 weeks every other day.

Cheers to a fellow zeohead.

Thanks for the advice. I actually have not been using AA, Xtra, and food for the past 2 weeks though and still there are some nutrients lingering.

I have a 40g Breeder and a 20g sump with about 48g Total Volume in my tank. I run .5 mL Zeovit Stones and dose about .18mL Start x2 daily. 48 GPH through reactor. I'd increase your stones a tad bit more and dose the Biomate daily. It will help with phosphates.

Thanks for the advice! I have been doing some reading on BM and think I will be dosing 2 drops daily for the first 10 days and then 2 drops x3 weekly and see where that gets me.

Due to work/research, I have stopped dosing zeovit as I cannot always be home to dose the necessary products and plunge the reactor. I have taken out the zeovit reactor and started up GFO. I will be using a RO BR-70 biopellet reactor soon.

Pic update from today:

You can see the growth at the base of this acro after a week and half. The Red Robin to the right has never shown growth though >.<

Recently acquired Pink Jade Acro. It's looking better and better

I also recently picked up this SSC. The Validia to the right is starting to really color up and grow after almost completely RTN'ing from GBTA sting

Maricultured Green mille that I think is actually slowly coloring up orange. We shall see

Your corals are looking amazing! How about an FTS.

Got a few questions:
1. How long has the Zeovit system been off?
2. Are you still using any of the Zeovit supplements such as AAHC, Coral Vitaliser etc? If so, why?
3. What foods are you feeding your fishes?

Many thanks.

I started reducing dosing zeostart3 and zeobak a week ago and stopped all zeovit products at that time except sponge power. I still plan on feeding the tank with coral vitalizer, sponge power, Phol's Xtra, and FWS at a reduced rate now. As for feeding my fish, I use mysis, Omega3 rich brine/spirulina loaded brine, bloodworms, and Rod's Food.

Typically you want to reduce the flow/stones rather than removing them at once. Hope your nutrient levels remain in the clear.

I did slowly reduce flow and amount of zeolites over the course of 8 days. Towards the end I added a small amount of GFO to help combat raising phosphate and have been doing a few small water changes. Things are pretty stable right now and coral colors and PE have improved or are the same. I will update in a few weeks once things have had a chance to stabilize.

I am now using 1/4 cup of GFO in the reactor on low flow. My plan is to go back to using GFO and biopellets. Using both worked really well in my 60g cube and I am hoping that a slow progression in this direction this will help keep nutrients low for this tank.

Here is a video I made today to show the new RO BR-70 biopellet reactor and the rest of the setup. It's the not the best video but it gives an idea of what I am working with.

Awesome cube!! Maybe I missed it but what is your lighting schedule for the Radion?
Thanks! Here is a my schedule. I basically run a 13h photo period, beginning with 20k, cycling to 14k, and then back down to 20k throughout the day with an hour of all blues at the end. The intensity ranges from 30% to 75% at the peak.

Hey dude, tank is looking nice! Corals look nicely coloured. Keep this sweet tank going, it's looking better and better.

The corals are a little stressed due to a heater malfunction, but I wanted to put an update on this thread so I can track how they recover.
