410 gal in wall build SW Florida

Wow! very nice setup and beautiful aquascaping! Your tank has very nice colors. good process. Congratulations!

Hey SteveM10 -- spectactuar system ...... I've just started the planning to upgrade from my current system (atch pic) to an in-wall 260g system similar to yours. Since my house is already built I had to work with what I have but I can support a 84 x 30 x 24 tank with fish room behind it ....

one question I have is: what's your feeding program like? Frequency & types of foods? Do you do any target feeding?

I feed twice a day. Once at 9AM and again at 6PM. I have an auto feeder for the morning feeding that feeds pellets. In the evening I feed mostly Ocean Nutrition flakes. Every once in a while I'll feed frozen mysis in the evening.

I'll put some nori or ring feeder in for the tangs every now and then as well.

I dose Seachum Fuel about twice a week for the SPS and target feed LPS pellets about once a month. That's pretty much it.

Got to look into the seachum fuel - don't know much about it.

What do you do for nutrient export (sorry if it's a repeat question)....

wow, that is a lot less then I see others with really robust corals like yours ... so nothing like Rotifeast or Oysterfest or Phytoplankton? I used to dose Fuel but thought is was contributing to a red algae problem I had and stopped it trying to get is elimanted. Now that I've beenred alage clear for almost 8 months I'm a little scared to go back to it

That's interesting about Fuel causing cyno.... I've had a little of it and now I'm wondering if it's the Fuel..... I'll have to look into it. I may go back to Dr G's SPS. It seemed to work well. I still use Dr G's LPS food.

couldn't be certain it was the Fuel but someone a lot smarter than me suggested it ..... I feed a combo of Rotifeast/oysterfeast/phytoplankton plus target feed some of my LPS with pellets ... everything seems to be growing well and like I said zero red algae ... i also decided to eliminate my fuge which I believe was the biggest reason for getting the red slime eliminated .... it was always out of control in the fuge

so glad I stumbled across this thread...EPIC BUILD! seriously wish I had the space and $ for a setup like this. Truly amazing. Might have to take you up on an offer one of these to stop by and see it in person. Hats off to you and much continued success reefing

I also get it in the fuge off and on. I don't want to eliminate the fuge but I going to try stopping the Fuel and see how it goes.

Let me know anytime you are in the area. I've already had several people from here stop by to check it out.
