410 gal in wall build SW Florida

Great update and love the new additions. If you haven't already keep an eye out for that Lemonpeel.

The Lemonpeel is a nipper. I have been watching him. At this point he doesn't seem to be hurting anything but he may have to go at some point. Getting him out will be the fun part. He stays in the rocks most of the time.

Sucks to hear about the lemonpeel. I had an issue with my pygmy angel and he had to go. No nippers allowed lol. I've had luck with coral beauties and flame angels in the past.

Man I have always absolutely loved the melanurus wrasse. Gorgeous colors.

I have a male and a female. I have never had them before but the are very cool fish. I am a little concerned about the female though. For a while the male didn't pay her any attention but lately he will not let her come out of the rock work. If she does he chases all over the tank until she goes back into the rocks.

Not sure if this is normal or not.

I don't know if this wrasse theory applies but here goes. In the wild there are wrasse harems which I am sure you already know. Since the male wrasse has that luxury to be with more females, he could be harassing her because if he does the do with her, he is ready for seconds as the female is one and done. Thus the chasing which isn't good because he might make life in the tank for her short.

Excellent build! Your attention to detail is superb.

Theres a lot in your equipment room design that I had in the blueprints of my mind for my next build. But seen that someone had already done it, is just an inspiration. I live in Naples and I will send you a PM next time I travel north. It will be incredible if I can stop by and tour your tank and equipment room.

For now, I just got a few questions;

- Radions that your are using. What generation are they?
- Can you described your quarantine method for corals? Dips, time that you keep them in quarantine.
- What type of light do you use over your quarantine tanks?

Would love to have you stop by. Give me a shout anytime.

- The Radions are Gen 1 with the upgraded lenses.
- I dip all my corals in Bayer (some very good threads here about the use of it) and keep them in QT for about 5-7 days. Before going in my DT I inspect them with a magnifying glass.
- I have an AI SOL LED over one of my QT tanks.

Here are a few new pics of the tank. Things are starting to grow. : )

Thank you for updating this. It looks really nice.

How is it holding up and how is the fish room?

Looks great! Thank you for taking the time and update us your build.

Yeah... I got the same questions. Any new experiences you might want to share?

Everything is doing great. I am still battling the sand issue. I am slowly removing the fine sand and once I get it all out I will replace it with a much bigger grain. The fine sand just gets blown around too much. It is always in the water column.

The tank room has worked out fine as well. It would have been nice if I had made it just a bit bigger but isn't that always the case. : )

I have had to add a much larger kalk stirrer and phosphate reactor than I originally had and the new ones seem to be doing a much better job of keeping up.

The only future changes I plan to make is to turn one of my QT tanks into a full time frag tank. I will do that once the SPS starts to fill out.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
