Those split pics are cool, Have you thought ablout doing a still frame video of them? That would be sweet.

Thanks, y'all! The large black dot that's way out of focus is the oil droplet that keeps the egg and prolarvae floating without any expenditure of energy. The small gray dots in each cell that you can see best in the first photo are the nuclei.

Unfortunately, the egg desiccated on me all of a sudden at the blastula stage. Silly amateur mistake....

Papa finally popped! My lovely bride spotted 'em this morning and we managed to get eight out and into a goldfish bowl kreisel. Looks like they are taking rots. I'm working on hatching out small strain BBS. One is already hitching!

And here's video of the young 'uns. I don't know if you can see it on the YouTube-compressed video, but I can make out silver bellies so it looks like the rots are working. Hopefully I'll have enough to keep 'em going.

Oh, believe me. We had the stream of her friends coming by to see them and she had to lead the tours and all. Pretty cute.

Those a some cute larvae. They could be Japanese anime: Big heads, huge eyes, and skinny bodies.

dtech--The kiddo got to stay up late for the fireworks and, so, managed to watch the cleaner wrasse spawn tonight for the first time. She was really excited about that, too.

Well, I think I need to raise some. The seahorses all made it through the night, so on to day two.

Ed, there has not been any official notice yet that I've seen. But, when you voted BallotBin sent you a confirmation email that had a link so you could go and see the raw results.

I don't know how qualified I am, but thanks! I'll try, but it might be a little uphill to get any real changes made.

I didn't notice that link at the bottom of the email. Here's an unofficial congratulations for having the most votes! It might be an uphill battle but hopefully the new BOD will be able to get us over that hump and back on track.
