430gal., L-shaped display

Hey, y'all! Sorry but life and all.... You know how it goes.

Nothing really new, honestly. I've been fighting some health issues and the tanks' have really had second fiddle for a while. The display is still rocking the softies and it's probably just about time that I try more hard coral frags. I'm growing some Banggai grandkids in one of the sumps. And still selling clownfish from that batch a while back. I have some new ideas for the sixlines and just started a tank cycling for that. So, maybe some news there soon. Hopefully.

Otherwise, I'm getting good at growing pelagic copepods. And my saltwater daphnia cultures are doing really well. The banggais like those a lot.

Thanks!

Good to hear you still having it all going. Seems that to many of these larger tank treads go silent and then find out the owner had to take them down. I wish I had half the patients/motivation you have with all the different aspects of the hobby you are tackling.

Thanks. The tank itself isn't so much work. It's the cultures and fish breeding that take most of my time. But the main reason that I haven't posted so much is that since the early days things haven't changed much.

Oh, I finally lost one of my cleaner wrasses, the male. He was the one that jumped before and was out of the water against hot metal for five or so minutes before I got him back in the water. He was never the same after that, though the pair did continue spawning every day. About a month ago I noticed that he and the female were having more mouth-on-mouth battles during the day, and then he finally jumped again. I figure she probably ran him out of the tank. A bummer, but he lasted probably a year-and-a-half to two years longer than most people would have predicted and the female still looks fantastic. I'm thinking about getting a smaller one to pair with her so I can watch the sex change.

What an incredible read! I was lead here by good yesterday after I found some mysterious eggs on the glass and your amazing pictures pulled me in!
I think reading your thread has really given me some inspiration, so thank you:) I already have 2 pairs. A pair of yellow coral gobies and a pair of clowns. I have a male mandarin so was planning to get a female in the near future. All this match making is quite fun :)

Do you have a link to any of your pictures? I'd like to see your build but none of the pictures are functional....
I hope your tank is still working.
Daniel. :twitch:

He sort a fell off the face of the planet. He migrated to another forum that centered around fish breeding. However that was some time ago.
