435 gallon in wall see through easy sps

Would it possible to get rid of hair algae by getting 5-10 hermits/snails and putting them in an eggcrate cage surrounding the outburst area?

I had a bit of hair algae on some coral and my CUC took care of it in about a week. It was a very small amount and my tank is small so maybe confining the CUC to a target area will get rid of it faster since you have a large tank.

hello, i was wondering how do you like the tunze 6205? i was thinking about getting one for my tank.

thanks,
john

First of all it's an honor Sir!
I think I have the marine velvet instead of the ick because all of my fish died quick with the glossy eye including the cleaner wrasse died too.

Very to hear about your losses. You had some beautiful fish. Since reading up I presume it was marine velvet..nasty disease. This is why I quarantine all my fish it's really not worth the risk and sake of your fish. Hope you implement a QT next time. Good luck with everything.

It's great to begin with but I think the perfected it this time with the new impeller and The new 6205 with silent kit is very quiet!

It's amazing how big your coral colonies are. What's the secret to their growth..lol

Not really a secret but water quality, lots of in direct water movement and my corals increase growth when I started dosing instead of calcium reactor and kalkwasser!

Thanks Brent
Good luck with the new set up

I put the Angels on the main display after few weeks of QT and acclimating
Hopefully it makes it since most of the newly caught angel have some issues at the LFS.

Also I will try to Install the ozone before I go on vacation but I will turn it off while I am away to prevent major catastrophy and more flow provide by TUNZE 6305
adding gadgets PM1 for my 150 FO with ph, temp and orp.

i am not very excited going on long vacation with a lot of corals and fishes so i have someone babysit my few colonies.
hopefully after the restock in the few months it will looks better.

Just copper and prazipro
I never had any luck with hyposalinity
And cupramine is very gentle if you added it slowly.
Hope that helps
