435 gallon in wall see through easy sps

Really great tank. That formal dining room side is really neat. You said that you got the wood from a local distributor? I live in San Diego - is there a place you'd recommend to find paneling like that?

Sorry to read about the outbreak. I hope that your tank settles and you can get your fish back into it soon.

Thanks for sharing with us.

I was lucky enough to see this amazing setup in person today. One word to describe the experience "Drooling" .
Paul as I said earlier,I was really ashamed to show you my almost fishless tank and the sparse of corals. Hopefully you can come back in few months when everything is back to normal.

Most of the fish is back
And doing well blue hippo tang still the boss of the tank I until I get the extra large orange tail emperor this weekend .... So the blue tang have a few weeks to rule until over thrown.
I check my tank parameter for the first time in years to see how's the doser are doing
Ph 8.05
Alk 9.6
Ca 500 both on salifert and topic marine
Phosphate 0
Temp 79.5-80.5 for 3 months

Beautifull set-up, I had to do a double take when I saw those plants in the background, for an instant I thought you found a better way than frag sales to support your tank, Hmmmmm humidity and high power lights are allready there  Good luck with the fish issues, will be watching the progress.

It's legal now in California .lol:crazy1:
No it's just artificial bamboo.
And I don't think one plant can support this very expensive hobby.hehehe

hopefully i can finish the plumbing tomorrow morning.
anyway the polyps extension is crazy i never seen my corals like this before ever!:love2::love2:

Awesome looking tank!

The previous reduced polyp extension could very easily have been the water change?;) Do you really go a whole year without one, I've never heard this actually working?

Tank looking great. Is your skimmer a Reef Octopus dnw 400, running with 4 x 3000 Octopus pumps. How is this skimmer working on your system? I just received my tdnw 300 with 3 x Octopus 2000 pumps. I want to hook it up on my 160g reeftank.
Kind Regards

Yeah I have fndw 400 and it's doing great!
I run 3 pumps only because it's too strong and it's pulls everything out of the water I still can't keep a Xenia nor grow chaetomorpa algae.
The big issues I have with it is it pulls 2.1 amps each pump but only 55 watts for the regular impeller and 85 watts for the pinwheel impeller.

Btw It's hard to find a parts for this skimmer I talk Katie ( coralvue ) it takes them 4 months to get a plumbing parts for this skimmer.

The tank and fish are looking good!

Thanks Bax
The corals are starting to come around I rescue more bleach coral for fellow Reefer and I might get more since I found out that my hardiest coral "mother of pearl cost 225 for 1/2" frag. I still can't people for that much for a tiny frag!

I haven't done an actual water yet since January of last year the water from this tank is from my old 300 gallon.
The problem that I had was alkalinity swing, Now that I have a doser it's should be a lot better!

I have yet to change my water since January of last year although I tap off salt every month or so!
All the water was save from my 300 gallon
