And yesterday 2/17/2009 (Keep in mind, I fragged a good 8-10 heads off of this for my buddy John):

Little bit of Cyano, and Diatoms? In another couple weeks your tank should be crystal clear :D I just set up my 28 Gallon Nano, and went through that period. I jump started with live water, live sand, and cured live rock, but my tank still needed that mini cycle. After 1 month, it was crystal clear.

Very impressed with your build good job!!

My build... Mostly rare Zoanthids so far, but a mili and a couple different Montiporas, ricordias etc. I'll be watching this build!

Yes, there is a slight diatom problem... very little cyano though. I haven't had any breakouts on the cyano as I'm using RO/DI water, and doing w/c's everyweek. I'm going to be getting pods in there to help with the diatoms, and hopefully I'll have some bristleworms in there as well. Starting with dry rock is the way to go, but building the fauna up is difficult!

I'm getting ready to start mine. I'm doing a 60g cube with an all-in-one sump similar to yours. Did you get much smell from the dry rock cycle?

No, I didn't get any smell at all from the dry rock cycle. I did scrub mine down real well, and it had been dry for nearly 2 years. Plus, I was changing the water once a week... I did get a yellowing, but that went away pretty quick
