Well, im $200 or so poorer tonight after the swap but im coral rich! Got quite a bit of nice stuff. The best deals though were by far a mismarked ORA setosa for 15$ and both $5 ORA red planet and chips. Yeah, about the RP I didnt intend to put this in my tank at all due to it being a fast growing tabler which my tank has no place for but I figured Id grow it in my QT/frag tank for future sales...yeah, placed it on top of a rock in a crevice, let it go and realized this crevice was actually one of the holes I had drilled for the coat hangers, oh 5" deep or so! So, I can say I have a red planet but really my rock has one! lol dummy

So in all Ill try to list what I got and how much I paid just for clarity:

3" crocea clam-$31

1 1/2" setosa-$15

2" M. confusa white with black/purplish polyps-$15

1 1/2" M supernatural-$15

4 branch 3" each blue stag-$30

1 1/2" acro unknown emerald green base with pink tips-$10

4" multiple branch unknown acro-$31

4 head blue/purple/grey acan-$15

1" chips acro ORA-$5

1" red planet ORA-$5

4/5 head purple death zoa-$20(owed the seller from earlier so I overpaid)

4/5 head some name or another purple, blue, white, pink ringed zoa-$20(same debt as above)

Everything was drip acclimated for 45mins or so then dipped for 10mins scrubbed with a toothbrush and or cut off frag plugs with questionable growths then placed into the QT tank. The clam is the exception here as I just feel they are worse off in QT than the risk of placing in the DT so I scrubbed its shell with a hard bristled brush and looked it over with a maglight then it was onto the sand in the DT. This is for my wife cause she loves them so if it takes my tank down itll be on her head! She picked a good one! Ill try to take some pics tomorrow if things are looking better. Overall had a good day and was able to spend it with my wife and son with no fits or fighting, plus my son was good too! lol

Acan. Looking at it today it is looking worse than any of the others, it was pretty fresh honestly.

Blue stag. Its browning pretty quick. All brown areas wer a light teal yesterday with the tips being neon blue. This is from the TOTM by Mantis.

Thanks Noob! I am REAL happy about the purchase

I was able to take some time today and actually get out the tripod since it was real dark outside and rainy. Colors are starting to come out a little more each day, still mainly brown...boo

Hey whats everyone think about ditching the mp10 and mj1200 for one mp40? Think itll be the right decision to make rather than going for another mp10? Its just cheaper to do the 40 than upgrade my gen2 controller and buy another one. I would of course be selling the mp10 I have now to cover a good bit of the cost. Not too much of a difference in price but enough plus when I uprgrade tanks in the future I will have the 40. However, if its not gonna be the right flow then id rather do the 10's so its not all about the money but more the flow.

Is there anyway to upload to photobucket without losing picture quality?

Yo Chris.
Corals look right at home in ur tank :)
Were you listening to "Rainbow in the dark by DIO" when ya were taking those pics of them colorful corals on the dark rainy day :beachbum:

The Q on photobucket yep there is an option when you are uploading u can set it higher pixel size/ same resolution. But can't do that if ur uploading from mobile though.

The vortech me too contemplating on getting one MP40 or MP10.
But contrary to your situation for me "money is the problem" :celeb1: lol

I am building my second tank (a 60gl Cube) and did a bunch of homework. I have decided to go with two MP10's instead of one MP40. Much more control imho and much more random flow then with just one MP40. Especially on a 45gl cube. I would buy a second MP10 and call it a day.

HTH

well I have a 40 that I can buy used today for 340...I think its the way to go over 2 10's cause the 10 I have is already at full speed so I have no room to grow as my corals do. Even with another, while providing better controllability, it will still be both pumps running full bore which not only concerns me for longterm use but its also noisy.

I think im gonna get the 40. Maybe tunze would fit my needs better?

One MP40 will be a good choice. Maybe ul hav to dial it down a bit. And also it's gonna b good for a future tank upgrade :)

Don't tell ur wife though :D

I think im sold on it. Man its a touch choice as a 40wes is around $420 best deal then I couls likely get $175 for my mp10 which puts me at $245 investment. THe other hand is an upgraded controller for my 10 and a new 10es. THis is about $300 or so invested. I like the idea of having the ecosmart modes with 2 or more pumps and think that would give me GREAT control and function plus make it easier to move the pumps around to get them in the right spots. That NTM looks killer with the side pump pulsing a wave to suspend the detritus and the rear one swelling to move it all to the overflow. The toy side of me WANTS that!

THe real advantage of option 2 is not having to sell the one I have. I hate going through it online with all the flakes and looky lous that want you to sell for nothing. I get frustrated easily enough as it is!
