45 Galllon Cube. My dream tank...only smaller!

Yeah it was just a blob for a long time then it started scrolling and it hasnt stopped since. Took about a year to start plating like that. Im worried about it longterm but I made that spot just for it and ill frag it to keep it out of where I dont want it.

Having a good tripod is awesome! Finally able to open the iris up properly. Think this one came out nice!

Wow Chris the cinematographer :D
Very nice vids bro. That tripod look very cool.
I always felt Reefing and photography should go hand in hand.
Practice makes perfect. Your pics are getting better n better with every shot!!

Yeah, no. Not even close, yet! All I have is time and a cool tripod! lol Wish I had an slr camera to play with...oh well, Ill just keep makin video and takin the occasional decent picture.

And here I thought I was cool with my Slik 500g circa 1980's tripod.. jeesh.

Nice vids BTW love the tank

Oh I see this tripod being with me when im old and gray. Its a tank! Everything is metal, no plastic anywhere and it weighs like 6lbs. GLad im not a backpacker!

Ya know, I figured out that there are tension adjustments for pan and tilt on the head. I had them loosened all the way so it was all sloppy, I wasnt thrilled at first then I found that last night after I had made the videos...doh. At least I know now.

I didnt catch a thing. Im just thinkin Im gonna lose all my inverts, including my clam. Is this REALLY worth it?

You've gotta' do it Bro if you want to get those RBs out of there... It's sad, but necessary if you want your SPS at their full potential... Won't happen with these pests!. Good luck Bro!

how far away from the water is your light? I have a 250watt as well and cant seem to find the right height since my tank is shallow.

Since adding my sixline from the QT to the 45 I havent seen a RB since...I of course am not a moron but it is promising and adding to the side of me that wants to pretend I dont have a problem! Hes spent all his time since being added, picking at the two corals that ive seen them on. Well that and running for his life from the saddle blenny!

I started the light at about 10" and things were fine until I got the photoperiod up around 6 hours, then I could see it was bleaching a few coral and lightening the color of the rest so I moved it up to 12-14". I still think im not at the right height and/or photoperiod. Colors are not right and there is still some bleaching at the sand level. Radiums may be listed as 20k but they are freakin bright!

well guys, the interceptor is in the tank, along with every single shrimp and crab plus my clam...I said a prayer and poured it in. Wish them luck. I did isolate the fuge but was unable to catch any of the critters in the main tank. The clam was well stuck to say the least. I started trying to pry him and he was spitting clouds and looking as though I was killing it so hes gotta go through the treatment. dang it, this sucks!

toy update: First up is a probe+dosing line holder

Well, I was out and about all day long which was a good thing since if I were here id have been stressin over the treatment all day long. So far no casualties that I can see. THe clam, cleaner shrimp and pom pom crab are all doing ok. Im about to turn the reactor back on and reattach the skimmer venturi then do as large a waterchange as I have made up. Ill update again tomorrow.
