454 VHO wow factor

Well I just swiched out 03 for 454 VHO on my 180, I now have a Jorge pop to my tank. If you are not sure what a Jorge pop is then you need to go and see his tanks. POP.
I am going to try and see what 1 x 03 and 1 x 454 looks like when the other bulbs come in. As of now I love 454 with and without MH it gives me what I was looking for in color for my tank. The 03 with MH just needed a little more depth/color the 454 does that IMO. Just saying.
I have yet to try to take a picture with them on and will try soon.

Just yesterday I switched out my trusty 'ole Iwasaki 15k bulbs for a pair of ReefLux 20k. Its got more pop to it, but not as bright.

Looks like mine is supposed to be delivered tomorrow. I am going to go with alternating 454/03 will see how the combination turns out

I tried the T5 with Giesemann PowerChrome Pure Actinic bulb and i thought the color is pretty nice, just wanted to share

POP is good, tell me more ade I am really happy with the 90 but I think the 220 could use some improvement. It has 2 6 foot vho's but do not know type or brand as they came with the system. I thought they were super actinic but were do I get the 454's you are talking about.

I got mine from F&S they are on sale right now. Jorge I really think that you would will like them. Reds, orange pop and is a little brighter than the 03 bulb. Looks great with the Iwasaki bulb also. With just the 2 x 454 bulbs on it even gives a little shimmer.

Well I just got my other actinic bulbs in today and placed one in the front. Color difference from one to the other, the 03 actinic looks purple next to the 454. Still like the mix so I think I might keep it that way.

Exact same thing I did, and the exact same thing I thought. I couldn't believe how purple the 03 looks. I only put one of mine in 15 min ago, so I am still thinking about it.

I only have a point and shoot camera, doesn't come out worth a hoot with any kind of actinic lighting.
