Hello and thanks for all the knowledge! Current setup was gifted mostly from previous boss/pet store manager. He was cheap but I've upgraded a few things.
47g column
Aquaclear 70 HOB with small generic protein skimmer
Agargonite sand about 1-2" deep
Messy pile of LR
mars hydro LED I found laying around. Seems to be work By.

Assorted snails & crabs (one hitchhiker)
Rbta
Duncan
Branching coral (has doubled in size and now I can see polyps!)

The live rock was in a 29g for the last year or more. When I inherited the tank had been neglected and all livestock was deceased. Brought home and set up in a 55g but it took up too much floor space so I dragged out the column from storage.
Brings us to today. The dang ole green star polyps I got a month ago are almost completely gone. Leads me to believe something is off, but the Duncan and branching coral are doing great. Heck the rose bubble tip has been here two weeks and it's found a home and hasn't moved since day 2. Testing stuff is in a tote. I'll check all the levels I can and post the results. If I can find a decent white light maybe I'll post a few pics. The led is way too purple

Tested the water today.
Oh: 8
Ammonia nitrites & nitrates all at 0
Calcium about 400ppm
Need to find or go buy a new alk test (swear I just bought one)
So everything test fine. Just not sure why the gap is so unhappy. Probably all issue :/
