Hi All,
I have decided to sell my 48" enclosed, black aluminum light fixture. It features triple 250w metal halide lamps with standard single end moguls, dual 48" 110w VHO lamps with waterproof endcaps, and dual vent fans at each end of a black, polished aluminum enclosure with an acrylic shield to protect the lamps.
The MH lamps are powered by 3 separate Ice Cap 250w electronic ballasts enclosed in a single case. The two end lamps are powered by one circuit and switch on the case and the center one is on a second circuit and switch so you could have 1, 2, or 3 lamps on at various times if you wish.
The VHO ballast is also an Ice Cap electronic ballast, model 430-008. It is also in a separate case with switch and plug.
The fixture and the MH ballasts are 4 years old. The VHO ballast is only 1 year old as I had to replace the original one.
The MH bulbs I have in the fixture right now are German made Radiums and were purchased about 1 year ago but have not been used in over 6 months. Before that they were on for about 10 hours a day. The VHO lamps are T12 super actinics and have been used for about the same time period but for close to 14 hours a day over 6 months.
Because of the size and the trouble it would be trying to ship it, if you are interested you would have to pick the fixture up. If you are in the Des Moines area I would be happy to bring it to you at no extra charge. I'm pretty sure I paid around $900 for the fixture without lamps. The lamps brand new would be in the $300-$400 range I think. I'm asking $400 for the whole set up. PM me if interested. I will probably not get back to checking PM until Sunday morning. Paypal or cash always works.
