48"x30"x30" tank build

Tanks still doing good. Sps is encrusting and some branching fast. I went to aqua terra for some new test kits for the new year. Ended up buying the salifert po4 ca and kh, and my oh my must I say, these are way faster and easier than the Red Sea coral pro test kits. Definitely recommend the salifert test kits and of course Hanna.

8.2
440
.25 po4

Haven't changed anything, tanks been on auto pilot with dosing the balling method and having a ton of chaeto in the sump. Water changes once a month. 25 gallons. Only set back was the ato got out of wack, and I lost a rainbow Mille frag and part of a green Acro due to the swing. But other than that nothing new. Same equipment, same plans, same boring tank lol

I've been thinking of getting the retro fit t5 kit from Brs and supplementing my leds with 2 of the t5. One in back and one in front of my revives. Anybody in wcr used any of the retrofit kits? If yes what is ur 2 cents on them. My main goal is too eliminate some of the led shadowing in the system.

Got the ati 48" 8x54 in the garage burning all the new bulbs in for 50 hours. Will swap out Leds with the T5.

Picked up a 5lb tank at the weld shop in Rohnert Park. Started on side stand for calrx equipment. Still need to install shelves, rout edges, and make front. Prob do magnets again like the canopy. The shelves will have access on 3 sides to run tubing from top to bottom shelves. I plan on drilling the back of the tank stand for the effluent line to fall into return chamber.

I would recommend tapping the lid to pull effluent from the lid rather than through the pipe. That's what geo did to mine when I told them I was using a masterflex.

Okay, well I'm new to calcium reactors so the plumbing is all new to me. What would be the rite way to go about tapping the lid myself and eliminating the effluent line in the pipe? Is their a thread that could give me a visual on how to DIY this?

Very nice progression! Damn I need to get my build going.

Thank you, I've been staying busy on my down time lol. I'm a union concrete formwork carpenter so luckily I have most the tools on hand just sitting at the house. What are you waiting for? Build build build haha.

You can certainly run it as intended, but ime excessive gas builds up using the peristaltic pump vs a cheap feed pump for some reason. I'm guessing it's because the feed pump runs full bore and is then restricted by the effluent out valve. Just a guess on my part.

Here's mine. I would contact geo. They should be able to walk you through it.

I emailed Geo saying I was running a Masterflex when I bought it, just looked and I have the same thing on my lid. Sweeeeeet! Just need to get the plug for the reverse osmosis tubing. Awesome one less headache. Thanks for the 2cents and pics man
