It took a couple days to unbuild my setup and move the corals and fish to temp homes. I/we (i had some help, thanks Erin (Octopus Garden fish god) and Mike) moved the corals day 1 and fish/equipment day 2. It's been about two weeks now and I've got the coral and fish back in the main tank. Still in a bit of disarray but getting there.

Not too many. I've tried to simplify things a bit. I've moved a lot of rocks to the sump, less in the display. I ditched the PVC structural suppor to for the rockwork. I've only kept rocks with corals, and even through some rocks with zoas into the refugium. I've eliminated my frag tank, and hospital tank as permanent fixtures. I've added an electronic solenoid for RODI system, so it'll turn on and off automatically. I'm no longer gravity feeding the skimmer, but I have routed a bit of flow from the drains to the refugium to help process the overflow that is too much for the skimmer (skimmer handles up to 800glph). Because i've cut my rockwork in half and am no longer 360 degree viewable it looks like i've added coral. I had zero coral deaths to this point but did create a lot of new frags due to clumsy handling.

I did lose my long time mandarin. One of my favorite fish. I put him in the coral temp tub so he'd have less competition for food but to no avail. Died after a couple days in the temp home.

Lighting?

looks good to me... this will look killer when corals starts to take over the tank.. :)

What did you use for lights with such a large tank? Where did you order them from , cost etc.? Can you replicate the water shimmer like on the MH with any other style of bulbs or not?

I use a giesemann spectra with 3x 400 watt Aquaconnect MH bulbs, and 4x 80w T5. Definitely get shimmer. The T5's are 2x ATI blue plus and 2x Giesemann super actinic. Seems to cover most of the tank well enough. I have the lights a little higher than normal to widen the coverage area a bit.

Nothing wrong with the pictures. Very nice looking tank! Can you take some pictures at night to avoid the sunlight in the room?
