Those coloured aiptasia are some of my non-acro babies so no boiling RO

Physical excercise: water changes...topping up RO containers...carrying 25Kg Salt buckets...cleaning glass...
Mental challenge: AEFW...STN/RTN...fish jerky...convincing the spouse you need the next piece of essential equipment (this can be a phyical challenge for some :lol: )

Beautiful tank. Great fish selection. After I saw the flame hawk pair, I am thinking about getting one. Do you have any shrimp in your tank? Heard flame hawk will eat shrimps and I have 3 (1 fire + 2 cleaner) in my tank.

I added a single cleaner shrimp a month or two ago and it's been smooth sailing, neither of my hawks have gone for it, just make sure you get a small pair, try for smaller than the shrimps and you should be fine but there's always chance lol so be careful Good

The wrasse is a halichoeres melasmapomus or black ear wrasse, I think I mentioned it above. And that she's fro the cook islands. I'll definitely be keeping things on her updated

Well the blackout has been and gone and the three days were a pretty good success I would say all around A lot of algae has died and most is now gone! I'm going to use tomorrow's water change to nuke the last little bit and clean it all out and hopefully that will do me some good in the battle against it! I'm prepared to do lights out again next week if need be but that will be after water change again so I can kill back anything that's growing before truly killing it lol
Also not sure if a Kole Tang would be appropriate in the tank lol I would love one and slin1977 seem to be encouraging this
Got some new zoa's coming in soon! Cost me a pretty penny but after 2 years of waiting I finally got my grubby mits on some Aus Rainbows
