500 gallon major over haul update

Well I had Wil @ reef mystique change all the things I didn't like about my tank and basicly make it look nice. I added another pump for a total of 9000 gph! Pumps will run my close loop, spray bar and wavy seas. Reef Mystique rebuilt my stand 12 inches taller and changed the wood from pine to oak. Canopy pics when it is done. Wil had the center tower removed and a coast to coast over flow added. I was able to snag a nice live rock boulder 26x22x22.

I was going to run a shelving type set up on the left side and back wall to give a reef shelf look. Not sure how it will turn out but will post pics.

What exactly is the footprint ? I didn't see the dimentions listed in the thread, or did I just miss them ?

I agree that it will be nice to see some water in it . Be sure to keep taking and sharing pictures

Sorry its 60x50x30. Stand is completely done now thanks to Max. New spray bar set up and 150lbs more of jakarta rock for a total of 550lbs of live rock. Oh ya 50 new corals sitting under 800 watts on t5 actinic and super actinic love.

wow, that is a nice footprint... almost as wide as our new tank, and a little taller and deeper. So how do you plan to light it ?

I have 8 400 watt 10k metal halides, 3 250 watt 20k halides and 8 t5 actinic and super actinic on it before I broke it down. I had the center tower removed and upgraded my water flow patterns and spray bar. Had a 6ft coast to coast installed. Stand use to be 30 inches, now the stand is 44 inches tall, mid tank sits at eye level. Stand hold all my pumps and is padded with foam for sound, refuge, chiller and misc equipment is 30ft away in my garage and vented to the outside. Water is pumped to and from my refuge. Tank is silent I am working on the canopy now, will be done by sunday. My 3 day project that is now on day 10 is going well. My corals are loving live in my 150 gal spare tank, they are being bathed in actinic. only one is upset, of course it is my tort colony.

my sps love it. I think it works out to about 12watts per gallon. I suppose I should figure that out. Juke has seen the halides on and went blind
