500G (84X48X30)- NOW REAL !

Any updates, Sanjay? C'mon, man, I need your thread to keep me entertained here in Iraq while I plan my next tank... Well, fish tank that is (I've got a real tank outside my office).

Sorry to not be able to entertain you. If I knew this was helping you through your Iraq duty I would have posted some more pics.

Unfortunately, they will have to wait as I am away from my tank for a while during the holidays.

Happy Holidays and Wish everyone a very Happy New Year.

extraordinary on so many levels! i bet you are having to prune now on a regular basis.

what kind of issues has your success brought?

Sanjay,

Its obvious the AEFW's have done a number on your corals. Since you'll no doubt be taking your tank down to eradicate these pests, I'll take one frag each of the following corals....

JK

On a more serious note, I do have some questions regarding the ID of some of your corals.

Is the purple one some sort of montipora? The polyp density is very low for every monti I've ever seen....

What do suppose causes the polyps on this acro to be two different colors? Is it under different lighting, (more intense on the lighter/purple side, less intense on the green portions)?

Is this a Monti setosa?

Finally, I love this pic showing the two acros growing into each other and the dividing line between them...

Can we get a picture of the full tank? I am a late comer to the thread and read bout all your work and saw the pictures of the way you were setting it up.

Now I would like to see what it all looks like now that its been like 4 years. Talk about a time machine! lol.

Hey Sanjay. Hope you are doing well. I went back to the beginning and re-read some of the thread. Great planning, great input, fantastic execution. How is the tank comming along?

I've gotten such a terrible outbreak of majano's I'm debating drastic changes. I tried a file fish, but he died after 3 weeks and never touched a single majano. I chickened out on a racoon butterfly. *sigh*.

I'm not sure if I'm going to make it up to Iowa this year, but how would you like a paid trip to Dallas round February 12? ;) See you later.
