5017 Osmolator Fault

I have got a 5017 Osmolator and the optical sensor seems to be playing up, every so often it fills too high, the safety sensor shuts it off and sounds the alarm.
Can these units be repaired or can I buy a replacement sensor? I have only had it about 18 months (But I can't find my Receipt) so I don't really want to buy a new one

I would contact tunze,they have great customer service and should be able to give you a fix or a replacement

Thanks for the reply, I completed the technical support form on their website about a week ago but haven't heard anything. I will try them again

While it is not impossible that the sensor has failed, the more plausible would be a siphon or bubbles on the sensor. Has anything changed with the set up or maintenance routine, something simple like rerouting the hose or a new top off reservoir could be a cause. I would suspect your email on Tunze.com went to Tunze UK and they will answer shortly.

Nothing changed in my setup and the sensor is clean. I phoned Tunze UK today and spoke to a lady who I have to say was fantastic, I am sending it into them for inspection and repair if necessary
