Hi,
Have bought and installed the 5074 dispenser kit, but the valve does not do his job, and let all the kalk go to the water reserve.
I have tried near every position for the valve : up to the bottle, with a loop, etc it does not change the problem, the valve is not enough strong to avoid any return.
As the kit is completly new, it cannot be a 'corrosive' effect, or something else.
I have read several other post with the same problem, you say that the valve is not the system which must stop the siphon, I do not understand what else can do it ?
The pump take the water from the reserve, pump it to the bottle, which go to the tank.
Between the bottle and the reserve there is only one tube, with the valve, no air to stop any flow, so what can stop the siphon excepted the valve?
the pump is in the water, the bottle is full of water, and so the tube between both, water everywhere, and the reserve is of course lower than the bottle, so a siphon must happen, whatever the position of the valve.
I'm a bit disappointed by Tunze, I have accepted to pay a lot for this kit, a lot because it's only a bottle with really few things, I could have done it by myself for few dollars, and the only part which is important : the valve, is a cheap one.
I would be pleased to have an advice from you, I'm confident in your cie.
Regards
