Cycle on the DT is moving along nicely. Glad that it's not stuck on 2ppm ammonia anymore

Having the uglies isn't bad. Its a good thing. My big Rbta is splitting as I sit here. I'll keep this one for you when your tank is established enough.

If diatoms are starting to appear then you are close or do you mean something else?

Yes diatoms... They've been there about a week but they got really bad over the last couple days.... Spotty before now everywhere... Really doesn't look that bad. Kinda nice to have some color variation. Justin, looking forward to it! Thanks so much for your help! My cuc arrives today...

BTW flatworms seem to have vanished.... Found a bivalve trapped in one of the rocks.... Still alive... It kinda sticks out once in awhile, but no its not a barnacle, some sort of small clam.

Getting there. Keep the CUC out of the tanks, until u finish cycling. Are u running a skimmer? Got any pictures of your sump?

Ugh, lost a few corals.... Moved too fast. Well I'm hoping that enough will make it that it will regrow. I had bought four new pieces since the chem was getting better and what I had was still alive... Found that line and accidentally crossed it. All the stuff prior to the last additions is still alive. I feel bad because people were helping me and reminding me to go slow, and I got stubborn. Lesson learned.

Sorry.

Good news though is that at the most I lost four corals that I added Friday, possibly only two, hopefully only one. Everything else is still alive. And for that I'm thankful. I will certainly put on the brakes at this point. And wait.

Had no idea that you was adding stuff to a cycling tank! Was under the impression the stuff came attached to your live rock.
Picture your tank as a barbeque grill and the live rock as your charcoal. If you keep squirting lighter fluid on it the fire will burn the food. Wait for the charcoal to ash over then add meat! Speeding tickets can get expensive

You were right, I didn't add anything not on live rock till Thursday when my cuc arrived. They are doing fine. Friday, I got some corals and added them... Shouldn't have done Friday.... Before, live rock, Friday, not live rock.
