57 Gallon Rimless Build

Update

Update

quick update on Sunday I moved my live rock and lifestock from my 29g biocube and bought 22 more pounds of live rock and finally started the tank. Its been running a few days now and seems to be doing good. I return the BRS dual reactor for a Two Little Fishies Phosban Reactor. I didn't like the BRS one is way to big and I didn't feel it was going to work well on my set up. Also one of the bulbs for my light fixture that I bought from Marine Depot was dead so I called them and they are shipping me a new one.

I will post some pics as soon as I finish with some small little details that still need to be done. I still need to install chiller and organize the power cables. The Reefkeeper Elite is up and needs to be program with the chiller and heater, so far is only running are the lights, temp and ph probes.

looking nice, im salivating over your stand, nicely built.

some friendly advice, ditch the check valve coming right off the eheim pump, swap it out for a union disconnect. i have about the same arrangement, ehiem pump on right side on my 57G. when you will need to take the pump out, it will be less of a PITA getting it in and out. as plumbed right now, you have to undo the union at the top and take the whole manifold out with the pump.

you should never need a check valve on the discharge, drill a small hole in your locklines, and it will break the suction, keeping you from flooding your sump.

Best of luck, and nice looking build.

Well that's the update for now please LMK what you guys think.......

I'm having a little problem. I'm guessing from the heat and and condensation from inside my stand my doors are warping. Looking for suggestions for inside the cabinet. Do you guys think cutting two holes in the back of stand for two fans will help....

Update

Update on the tank. I resolved the door issue by putting two metal bars on the back of each door. It straighten them out and I also added two fans inside cabin one blowing in and one out to help with the moisture inside.

I also added today a Flame Angel my sis gave me for Xmas.

Also added 3 new frags
1-green polyp digi
2-green stylo
3-purple skin digi

I will post some new pics soon.
