$6,000 Clowns??

Are you sure that you're getting those clowns. Because I ordered them yesterday along with the Hawkjaw and Dragon Eels becuse LA threw in a Gem Tang for half price if I took them all. Won't they be so cool in my 34 gallon RSM. Anyone know where to buy an octopus to make it perfect?

Can anyone explain this price to me? Or even why the price is a lot higher than normal (not necessarily $6K worth)?
Matt...have some insight? I'm ASSuming that this must be some extremely rare color mutation and there happens to be two of them that are bonded? How inbred must those two be???

This is part of the problem....the person who collected the parents of these fish is very likely the last person who will be issued a permit for a long time. The small range of this fish is a protected area, so they allowed a breeder to collect them in-hopes of establishing the trade of captive-bred specimens and maintaining an "ark" population. Maybe someday I'll have the chance to do that with another species
These fish are found on Lord Howe Island off of the coast of Eastern Australia (like 370 miles off!). Ryan is the name of the breeder who collected and spawned them. Since these are the only ones available in the trade, they are quite spendy, but basically it's a black tomato. Dad asked me if I thought we should get them, but I'm still on the fence about it...I see that they are still available though...hmm..

Well if you bought them then you'd just breed a bunch of really healthy fish who are super well cared for, and flood the market, reducing their high price tag. hah hah.
The people who allowed this breeder to collect them to establish captive bred ones absolutely should have given them to you! hah hah.
