I've got an empty 6 gallon (acrylic) tank. I was toying with the idea of putting a mantis in here. Should i be worried about the acrylic breaking? If so, which species wouldnt pose a threat? Thanks in advance

Acrylic should be more than strong enough to handle any sort of mantis. It's using a smaller glass tank with a larger or stronger mantis that's really at risk of breaking.

acrylic will be fine. Even thin acrylic. Glass is brittle. Acrylic is very flexable, you'll be good.
