6 inch black percula? ***

i was at a petstore yesterday and seen a fish labeled "black percula" which i have never seen in real life.


the weird thing is, it was the size of a regular domestic golden hamster.


is this normal?

Probably black variety of black polymnus. Saddlebacks get pretty large and the black variety are always labeld as black percs.

ok that makes sense because you have to understand i have a cinnamon and a fire clown which are fairly large as far as clowns go but this thing was huge.


i am going to research it....

Yeah that is common, right now at my store Neptunes Reef we have a black saddleback clown which the owners labeled percula. Dont know why they do that....

If it has yellow bands in its pectoral fins then it's a Polymnus.
