Guys when I set up my new 190 gallon tank I used my old live rock from my 135 but replaced the sand as it was around 2 years old. I have had nothing but problems out of this sand the entire time it has been in here. I have had diatoms spin e about 2 weeks in that will not go away. I have gravel vac it and hand stirred it. Even left it alone for 2 months to see if that would help. I can gravel vac it and wishing 6 hours I see a light dusting back on the sand. The rocks have no visible diatoms. I am 100 percent sure it is not dinoflagellates. Anybody have any suggestions. It is really starting to pi$$ me off.
