60 G aggressive

The problem is finding a reef safe fish that wont get eaten and can live in a 60 if it was a 75+ you could put a tang , 60 would be pushing it for a tang.A 125 or 120 would be a much better size and there is alot more possibilities of tank mates if you havent got the 60 yet and you have the space and money I would get a 120 or 125.

The thing is the tank is free - if it wasn't there would be no way for me to be able to afford even that - I really hate bringing this up but uh...Kole tang? -Maybe-?

I belive a kole tang can live in a 60 if it is the only active fish and will not get harased but most people say a 75 min. I belive putting a small tang in that tank with the lion and the eel if you are willing to let him go if he is unhappy, but if you put those three fish together that would be the most fish you can put in the tank.

Lionfish won't even look at snails, nor will they eat hermit crabs (non-hermits will be toast if the lion can swallow them). OTOH, SFE's will indeed eat hermits if they can yank them from their shell. My SFE ate a baseball-sized Dardanus megistos which was also removed from a tank for being destructive. Just snatched it right out of its shell.

Well in a 60 with a lion and a eel there is not much else you can have. What type lion are you thinking of?And yes I belive no matter what the lion will eat the snails but wait for some one with lion experence for a answer from experence.

Namxas a ton of experience with lions. Before you try to say that someone is wrong, you should take into account who that person is and what they know.

How long is the tank? I know a 65 is 3ft and I had a Yellow tang in there and he was fine really. Sure, a bigger tank would be better, but you could keep a Kole in there.

My guess is few people will agree with my opinion on the kole tang,my opinion on all fish thoigh is it is what ever you feel looks crowded or not within reason. So if you think a 6in tang would look crowded dont get him if you think he looks fine in your tank get him but thats just my opinion.

I don't think anything namxas said has been wrong, but okay. There is a Kole tang at my lfs in a similar size tank to mine, he seems to use the space, is active and behaving normally, but I don't hang around all day to watch it, lol

Of course it is your tank, but after being in this hobby for darn near 20 years I personally wouldn't keep any tang in a 3 foot tank. Tried it, and it got really nerve wracking watching them pace back and forth.

Hmm, okay, that doesn't sound... Good, to put it bluntly. Well you're obviously laden with wisdom and wizardry, do you have an alternative suggestion?

It was a small one, and now he is in a 220g. If it was a full grown one, many times the size, then I would say otherwise.

Well if you want him and you dont think he would be crowded and you want one get one.
And sorry about the snail thing I heard they ate anything that would fit in there mouth including inverts so I thought snails were included. Good luck with the tank;)

Is the tank going to have any type of "netting" over the tank? Wrasses are jumpers, but great fish.

Dwarf angels are going to be hit or miss, but might be worth consideration. I currently have 5 different ones, and only one of them, C. deborai, touches my zoas.
