Did my first "bucket feed" today and got a ok reaction.

My Blano opens up now, not real impressed with the looks but he's feeding

under the stand

THe reactor with the red top will be for bio pellets if I can find them in stock somewhere

Par readings take with apogee par meter. Was surprised at the readings being its only a 150 watt mh bulb. The disco ball reflector shots the light straight down, it doesn't spread the light out much other then dead middle of the tank.

Looking good! Toss the blano in the bucket too. With enough bucket feeding they will turn into monsters

Be interested in knowing how you like the Apex after a few weeks. What will you be controling and monitoring with it?

Still having issues getting the new dendro mini colony to open up much. The balano colony is open most of the time now.

Started dosing the new tetra product, will keep ya posted as to how the tank likes that. Should take a few good weeks before I notice anything though.

With the apex I use it for the normal stuff, heater, fan, lights ect but I will also use it to control a dosing pump that will pump from my food reactor I'm working on. Probably should post a couple pictures up of that soon.

That is great work with the Balano, my understanding of them was that they would normally only open in the dark even with heavy feedings, though I have noticed ours open some when we feed during the day

Haven't figured out a feeding plan yet, it will start with roti feast, shellfish diet, nutramar ova, pe mysis shrimp and rods food.
Will add fauna products soon as well.
