60 Gallon Rimless Cube

Newbie to the hobby. I purchased a Deep Blue Professional 60 gallon cube and stand from my LFS about a month ago. I slowly purchased the necessities to get everything up and running so I can start the cycle. Here's what I have so far:

-Tank & stand
-50 pounds BRS pukani dry rock (ended up being too much rock..it's so porous and takes up a lot of volume..put some rubble in the sump).
-60 pounds Fiji Pink sand
-small 10 pound bag of Miracle Mud for the sump
-BRS 75 gpd ro/di unit
-bucket of Red Sea Coral Pro salt
-Eshopps R-100 sump
-Eheim 1260 return pump
-Radion LED
-1 Vortech MP10wES powerhead (for now, plan on getting a second one once I'm ready to add corals)

Various other necessities (heater, glass cleaner, refractometer, reefscaping epoxy, etc...)

Water has been circulating for about 2 weeks now. Not quite done with the aquascaping, but here's how she looks so far:

Let me know what you think.

Just got home and it looks like I have some diatom spots on the rocks and sand. Is that a sign that the cycle is progressing?

Update: photos of finished aquascape. Tank near end of cycle, nitrates high (20).
Dud a water change to lower my nitrates and I'm thinking of getting the skimmer and some cheato. Then to CUC once the nitrates drop below 10.

I'm interested in one of these tanks as well, are you satisfied with the quality? How much does these run?

THANKS!

Love the rock scape!
Could you post a picture of your Radion map? How high is the fixture hung?
I have a 50g cube with Radion that I'm still tweaking the map for it.

I'm running them at 60% at 12K for 3 hours and 60% at 20K for 3 hours with an hour transition between. I've dialed them back a bit because I added some corals that weren't under Radions. I had them as high as 80%.
