lol yeah, I think Paul would make a bigger mess on the floor than I would. Maybe Wet Pets and ART should get together and make a tank big enough to do snorkle tours in. See a copper banded up close and personal then take one home! I know Nathanial and Steve would be on board!

Sorry Paul i just couldn't resist :D .

But seriously, i was really wondering if you had enough room for displacing that much water, if for some reason you had to get all the way in the tank?

So with that being said on your sumps I would like to see some pictures of them Paul. If you don't mind and have the time.

thers really nothing to see. They are all insulated, so you cant see i them. and one needs to be piped into the system.

Nothing to see :) 2 280 gallon sumps are bigger than my tank. Besides some of us tech guys are just as interested as to what goes on behind a great system as well as main display tank for the system.

He's just shy because it's all sloppy back there.... Wait, no, that's not true - it's all BEAUTIFUL and PRETTY and..... Never mind...

Shouldn't we be getting back to the discussions on dipping people into tanks?

well.....I came home today to find my latest acquisition (well....one that made it to my tank from quarantine) has decided to move.

I thought when i first placed this in my tank that it wasnt really that big.....well today she showed her full size.

This rose (From Pamela), must be 10 inches across. Sorry for the crappy pic but the angle is bad, coupled with the thisck acrylic....makes for a less than ideal picture.

Ill try and snap another later.

I just saw the rainford's goby last night after being gone for the weekend, and let me say it is a gorgeous little fish. I would have to say it might be my favorite in the tank. I can't wait to see what a bunch in your tank will look like!!!

I'm SURE you get this a lot, but Paul, your tank just blows me away. It is so beautiful. I have been known to brag and show off your tank to people. Haha, don't be surprised if the people building the new reef call and ask for contributions!

I can't wait to see it again next month.

Well done, Paul!

Well.....I finally began the construction of the wall around my tank. I say "I" but really Tim has been doing the major part of the work.

As you may know, my tank is to be set into a wall, but stick out about 8 inches or so. Today we put the frame work up for the wall and sheetrocked it...here are some pics:

With the tank covered we made two side sections ( Since one day I will sell this house we decided to not cut the crown moulding, instead we went around it)

we then made the central span and tied it into the side pieces and the joists in the ceiling

and all done:

and yes...my tank needs a clean.

If anyone is wondering why there is a baby gate on one side....my bare ballasts are there and my cats would love to eat them/sleep on them or otherwise fiond a way to kill themselves.

Tomorrow we begin the making of the doors for the cabinetry.

Paul.
